The name of our organization took almost no time at all to decide upon.  With Emily’s love of cheerleading and the fact that she was indeed trying to bring cheer to children with cancer, Cheers From Emily was born.

Once the name was decided upon, we asked Emily what kind of logo she would like.   She told us some very simple requirements:

• There should be a cheerleader
• There should be a gold ribbon (Gold Ribbons are for bone cancer and childhood cancer)
• The lettering should be the color pink (her favorite color)

As Emily’s mom and dad, we also thought it was important to add a rose. (Emily’s middle name)

After a few different attempts and a little rework here and there, we arrived at the logo we have today.  We think it really embodies the spirit that Emily had!
